Since Doctor Strange 2 has already been released, MCU fans are now looking forward to the return of Asgardian God Of Thunder to the big screen. Thor is one of the most superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And the only member of the original Avenger Trio still alive (and kicking). With the release of Thor Love and Thunder on July 8, 2022, he will be the only MCU superhero to have four standalone movies. With the return of Thor Ragnarok director Taika Watiti and the arrival of Might Thor Aka Jane Foster, Thor Love and Thunder is arguably the most anticipated film in the fourth phase of MCU.
Thor Love And Thunder: Trailer Breakdown!
After several months of tiring waiting and endless speculation, Marvel finally dropped the trailer for the upcoming Thor Love And Thunder on April 18, 2022. With less than three months until the release date. However, the trailer for the film has divided fans with some thinking it was perfect while others complained about the absence of the antagonist in the trailer.

The film’s first trailer was filled with stunning footage, some of which came straight from the comic book pages. The trailer opens with a glimpse of Thor in different stages of life, from a child to adulthood, running in a forest. We hear Thor say, “These hands were once used for battle; now they are but humble instruments of peace.” Another shot shows Thor planting his Storm Breaker in the ground, signaling that he is on a sabbatical due to superhero work. He is on a journey of discovery. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
One of the highlights of the trailer was glimpses of Mount Olympus and the Greek god of thunder, Zeus. We also see Thandie Newton’s Valkyrie sitting in what appears to be a meeting. The trailer’s most iconic moment, however, came at the end when a reconstructed Mjolnir is held by all-enhanced Jane Foster in Mighty Thor’s costume.
Thor’s story arc!
Thor: Thunder and Love will witness the introduction of an all-new Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, played by Natalie Portman. Although this is only more reason to believe that Thor Odinson will have a supporting role in Thor: Love and Thunder. It also suggests that the franchise is going full circle, which could work well with Thor’s personal storyline.

The character of Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, features prominently in Love and Thunder. After his stint as Fat Thor, he underwent yet another metamorphosis. The latest incarnation of Odinson is another departure from previous iterations. Not quite ‘What if?’ Party Thor.
However, this new Thor is much more relaxed and at ease and almost feels like a completely different character. The opening scene of the trailer shows Thor’s many stages of development. This seems to be a strong indication that Thor: Love and Thunder will mark a meaningful ending, or at least significant progress, for Thor’s long and tumultuous Marvel Cinematic Universe story.
Gorr The Origin of the God Butcher!
While the MCU occasionally changes character origins, many fans hope Gorr’s remains largely unchanged. After the loss of his family and exile from his tribe, he embarks on his crusade in the comics. He gains control of the All-Black Necrosword, a strange weapon associated with the symbiote god Knull.

However, some fans believe that the origin of his weapon can be changed to connect him with another classic Thor villain: Hela. According to a Redditor, she survived Thor: Ragnarok and landed on Gorr’s home planet. He would track her down and kill her. Hela’s Necro power begins to connect to the blade as she takes her last breath. We know that Hela’s MCU skills were influenced by Gorr’s in the comics. Perhaps these and other similar theories are correct.
How does it affect the multiverse!
As we all know, the main goal of phase four is to introduce the next generation of heroes while pioneering the universe at the same time. Loki was the catalyst, with ‘What If…?’, Spider-Man: No Way Home and, most recently, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness followed closely. As a result, many fans expect the inclusion of this feature in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Perhaps the best way to introduce Gorr to the main world is to make him a versatile enemy. Some speculate that the multiverse could explain Jane’s abilities or the appearance of Mjolnir, which she gifted her. In the film, a Redditor speculated. Thor is dragged into the main MCU from another reality.
As a result, we may see more Thors in the film than we expected. As we all know, Odinson will no doubt want someone’s help to defeat God the God Butcher, and who better to do that than his other version.
