If you’ve been wondering what your Bear Grylls lifestyle has been missing all along, get to know the weird and wonderful BeTritonthe amphibious e-trike that is a bicycle, a boat and… a motorhome.
Formerly called Z-Triton, the polymorphic tricycle was conceived and created by designer and entrepreneur Aigars Lazuis, who wanted to upgrade touring cycling and find a sustainable solution for die-hard travelers who want it all.
As a tricycle, it has an electric motor with an internal gear hub with pedal assistance. Powered by a lithium-ion battery — and solar panels on the roof — it can deliver 50 km of range on the road.
Switching from land to water mode would be super quick and easy. All you have to do is drive the BeTriton over a body of water, lift the wheels off the bike, inflate and attach the stabilizers, lower the eboat engine from the cabin and voila!
As a boat, the BeTriton can take you up to 20 km across the water. And hey, when you’re out of juice, you can use the attachable straps to get to your destination the old-fashioned way.
Now, for your stay, the RV mode works on both land and water. There is enough space for two people to sleep in it and it also fits a few backpacks.
To make the most of your trip, the BeTriton features a whole host of cool amenities. There is a folding kitchen table, built-in heating and cooling, USB charging ports, GPS and a sound system. You can even place your favorite plant in a pot on the roof – which is a totally unnecessary, but nice little touch.

Buying such an extraordinary vehicle isn’t going to really break the bank, as the company’s estimated price tag is $15,200 (€14,500). You can currently pre-order it for $105 (€100); deliveries are expected to reach Europe first this year and the rest of the world in 2023.
