Marvel Confirms May Calamawy Is Officially The First Egyptian Superhero ‘Scarlet Scarab’

The final of Moon Knight is there. The final gives many surprises and many beautiful fights. One of the surprises of the Moon Knight finale is May Calamawy who plays Layla El-Faouly as Scarlet Scarab and Taweret’s avatar. But we haven’t gotten confirmation from Marvel as to what her superheroine is. Now Marvel has officially confirmed that May Calamawy is the Scarlet Scarab.

Episode 6 of Moon Knight is full of wonder, we get the first look of Ammit, Jake Lockley in the Moon Knight post-credit scene. Surprisingly, we get to introduce another superheroine who is Layla El-Faouly as Scarlet Scarab. They fight together to stop Arthur Harrow and Ammit. The last episode of Moon Knight did not mention whether she is Scarlet Scarab or not. But now Marvel has officially confirmed that May Calamawy’s Layla El-Faouly superheroine is Scarlet Scarab. All Moon Knight episodes will be streamed on Disney+

What did May Calamawy say about her role as a superhero?

Although season 2 of Moon Knight is not confirmed yet. May Calamawy, who plays Layla El-Faouly, has said in an interview that “she is open to bringing the character back again”. She also added: “Never say no to spin-off”. She also shared, “I fell in love with her and her fight. Layla has so many mysteries about her that I feel like she deserves to work them out.”

Fans loved the Moon Knight series as the sixth and final installment was full of surprises. We get to see superheroine in Moon Knight when Layla El-Faouly has become the avatar of Taweret and Scarlet became Scarab. But the name Scarlet Scarab is not mentioned in the series but later Marvel confirms that the superheroine name of Layla El-Faouly is Scarlet Scarab.
