Rich people have a problem. No, it’s not lukewarm champagne or confrontation with poor people’s stories in the news. How do they get their million-dollar yacht to the next sun-filled destination location when they’re tired of getting their feet wet? Thoughts and prayers, folks.
I know a man who sails people’s yachts from one side of the world to another. But a Swiss company might put him out of work. The company is called air chase† And it heard the cry of the rich.
AirYacht creates a hybrid vehicle that combines aviation and sailing with a home that can be placed anywhere on land for a visit.

The AirYacht is part hot air balloon and part residential – like a floating luxury hotel that you can fly and sail.
How does the AirYacht travel?
The aircraft part flies thanks to a detachable airship or hot air balloon powered by an air and helium propulsion system. The long-term goal is to run solely on hydrogen in the future.

The yacht sails on the water on an electric motor. The airship can also tow it, so you won’t be delayed for your next party.

The yacht includes a three-storey residence that can accommodate 12 people and includes 750 square meters of interior space, including a gym, sauna and swimming pool. In case you want to fall in the desert and it gets a little warm.
It’s the brainchild of industrial engineer (and holder of over 40 patents) Matthieu Ozanneand project manager/advisor Guillaume Hoddewith the architecture designed by Darnet designs† The company describes its vision as follows:
Innovation and technology are omnipresent in the AirYacht project. Greedy for varied and complementary skills, the desire to advance with the best is inalienable.
I think we can all agree that the term greedy is suitable.
Luxury travel is hot

Luxury travel has risen in popularity in recent years, from private planes with a disco and a bar, to private villas† I can’t help thinking that this is partly a desire for rich people to separate themselves from the unwashed potential as much as possible.
And in terms of vision, this is actually the second flying yacht to be released this year. In February, Lazzarini studio unveiled designs for their second flying yacht, with a design that wouldn’t look out of place in a sci-fi film imagining the future.

But it exists in concept only, while orders for the AirYacht are open. The first delivery is scheduled for late 2026. Bet the crypto kids are crying that they can’t afford a ride anytime soon.
